20Uncategorized
The CleanSky2 European Funded project ADMITTED held its first official knowledge sharing meeting on September 18-19th, 2019 in Cascina Costa, Italy hosted by the Topic Leader Leonardo Helicopters. The ADMITTED project is lead by an international consortium composed by:

  • TXT e-solution, an international specialized provider of engineering software solutions which plays also the role of coordinator;
  • NLR, a leading international research centre for aerospace;
  • SUPSI/IDSIA, a non-profit-oriented research institute with a very influential AI lab worldwide.
During the first official knowledge sharing meeting the Topic Leader Leonardo Helicopters presented the state-of-the-art of the AW609 and  the Next Generation Civil Tilt Rotor (NGCTR). The other Consortium members showed their capabilities and all the members planned together the next steps to further improve the NGCTR exploiting the newest and coolest artificial intelligence and big data analysis techniques…keep following us for updates!

After a deep and thoughtful evaluation and selection process, HPE has been chosen as the most suitable provider for the hardware components of the ADMITTED Big Data cluster.

The cluster will be able to handle over 80Tb of data and process them using the most advanced AI and machine learning techniques thanks to Cloudera’s Hadoop and the equipped GPUs.

To ensure greater scalability and flexibility throughout the whole project life and the following years Cloudera Data Platform will be installed on top of Nutanix AHV virtual machines.
